Cotton Bowl Foundation Kicks Off 2024 North Texas Giving Day with Surprise Donation

CBAA Staff Awarded $10,000 to AT LAST!

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Cotton Bowl Foundation was up bright and early on Aug. 23 to appear on WFAA-TV's Daybreak morning newscast at AT&T Stadium to help kick off the 2024 North Texas Giving Day campaign.

Cotton Bowl Athletic Association Chief of Staff Amy Scott, Chief Marketing Officer Michael Konradi and Vice President of Communications Scottie Rodgers joined nearly 100 community leaders representing a number of North Texas nonprofits excited to raise money this year in the largest community-wide giving event in the nation. One of the organizations on hand for today's kickoff was AT LAST! represented by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Randy Bowman.

With the home of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic providing the backdrop, the Cotton Bowl Foundation surprised AT LAST! with a $10,000 grant to help the South Oak Cliff-based organization meet its North Texas Giving Day goal and expand its focus to securing matching dollars to further support its Scholars-In-Residence program.

The Cotton Bowl Foundation has been an active participant and supporter of North Texas Giving Days since its inception in 2016. Since 2016, the Foundation has awarded more than $3 million in grants and financial support benefiting nonprofit organizations in the surrounding communities.
