KILGORE COLLEGE RANGERETTES
CBAA KILGORE RANGERETTES SCHOLARSHIP
Since 2002, the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association has endowed a scholarship at Kilgore College for one deserving member of the famed Kilgore Rangerettes. The Rangerettes have been a Classic fixture since founder and Cotton Bowl Hall of Famer Gussie Nell Davis first introduced the Sweethearts of the Gridiron in 1949. The endowed scholarship, invested with the Texas Presbyterian Foundation via Kilgore College Foundation, is awarded each academic year to a deserving sophomore member of the squad. In 2022, the Cotton Bowl Foundation designated an additional $20,000 to ensure the scholarship remains fully funded and endowed for years to come.
For the 2024-25 academic year, two members of 84th line were awarded CBAA Rangerettes scholarship dollars:

2017 NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY
In 2017, the Cotton Bowl Foundation lent its support the Rangerettes for
North Texas Giving Day. The two institutions teamed up to raise $55,410 to provide additional financial resouces for the Rangerettes' operational expenses.
