ARLINGTON, Texas – The Cotton Bowl Foundation is once again participating in the 2021 North Texas Giving Day on Thursday, Sept. 23. This year, the official foundation of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is providing support to a unique group that works daily to protect and serve Arlington residents and visitors.
 
The Arlington Police Department K9 Unit is the beneficiary of the Cotton Bowl Foundation's funds and matching donations generated during this year's one-day giving event.

All money raised is going to secure a new service dog and provide the critical financial support needed to manage the health care needs of all dogs in the unit. Since 1979, the APD K9 Unit has helped keep Arlington safe by assisting officers in their daily duties from apprehending suspects to conducting sweeps of buildings and public gatherings for possible threats.
