Cotton Bowl Foundation Supports the Classic Art Contest for 2023 North Texas Giving Day

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Cotton Bowl Foundation is using its 2023 North Texas Giving Day campaign to amplify a special anniversary.

The official foundation of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is supporting the 25th edition of its beloved Art Contest, which has been a part of the bowl experience for more than three decades. Amazon joins the Cotton Bowl Foundation this year as the presenting sponsor of one of the Classic's treasured traditions.

To show support of the Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest, Amazon and the College Football Playoff Foundation are each providing $25,000 matching grants to spark donations for this year's North Texas Giving Day campaign.

The Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest Presented by Amazon supports elementary art teachers throughout North Texas in a competition where every child who participates is a winner. Every student's work is laminated and used as gifts and placemats during Cotton Bowl Classic week events. The first, second and third-place winners have their artwork proudly displayed at their schools and AT&T Stadium near the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association offices throughout the year. This year, the winners and their art teachers will be honored on the field at AT&T Stadium during the 88th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

The 24th Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest in 2022 saw a record number of entries and all-time high support from the Cotton Bowl Foundation. The contest was back and better than ever following a two-year hiatus with a record high of more than 10,500 entries from an all-time high of 150 elementary schools across six North Texas counties – Dallas, Collin, Tarrant, Denton, Rockwall and Wise. The Cotton Bowl Foundation ramped up its support for this beloved Classic tradition with $75,000 distributed to help art teachers with art supplies and support art-centric programs.
